EvolveRevolve is a good old mail art project born out of a love of drawing and a belief that it is possible to use drawing as a means to hold a conversation on a sub-lingual (or should that be sur-lingual, in that drawing transcends language’s generalities and limitations) basis. Only ten (rather crudely handmade) folding sketchbooks have been sent so far but if you are interested in participating contact us and we’ll see what can be done.
Couple of bits of news so far: two people, Carine Brosse & Chris Murray have sent in drawings which you can see on the respective posts; my wife’s nephew Tom Pearson http://timip.co.uk/ has passed his on to John Dunbar (who is the person that was responsible for introducing John Lennon to Yoko Ono, I believe) so I’m looking forward to finding out where that goes. The further and wider the better as far as I’m concerned.
A bit more news: Check out the excellent David Cook & Carine Brosse (again) drawings taking this in a (hopefully) unexpected direction.
I know there are sketchbooks in Norway, France and even Gloucestershire. One was sent to USA but I’ve not heard back from that.
Comments of course are always welcome.
